However, it should be stressed that the obligations resulting from Articles 4(4) and 6(1) of Directive 92/43/EEC are applicable as soon as possible and within six years at most from the adoption of the initial or the first updated list of sites of Community importance for the Atlantic biogeographical region, depending on which list a site of Community importance was included as such for the first time.
    4. At its Annual Meeting, the ICCAT adopted a number of technical measures for certain stocks of highly migratory species in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, specifying inter alia a new minimum size for bluefin tuna, restrictions on fishing within certain area and time periods in order to protect the bigeye tuna, measures concerning sport and recreational fishing activities in the Mediterranean Sea and the establishment of a sampling program for the estimation of the size of the bluefin tuna caged.
    5.
