- From the opinions of the European Food Safety Authority (the Authority) of 30 January 2008 [2] and of 18 November 2008 [3] it results that the amino acid L-valine with a purity of at least 98 %, does not have an adverse effect on animal health, human health or the environment and that it is considered a source of available valine for all species.
- Commission Regulation (EC) No 403/2009 of 14 May 2009 concerning the authorisation of a preparation of L-valine as a feed additive [12] is to be incorporated into the Agreement.
- It is applicable to the following amino acids: cyst(e)ine, methionine, lysine, threonine, alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, tyrosine and valine.
